California, USA – August 04, 2026 – AGP Limited has selected Sofcom’s Manifold MES system to digitize, control, and monitor its manufacturing execution processes.
Through this implementation, AGP will use Manifold MES to transform approved manufacturing processes into structured digital workflows. These workflows will cover production planning, work-order execution, material allocation, dispensing, manufacturing stages, quality checks, electronic records, and batch closure.
This is a significant step for AGP in its digital manufacturing journey. Manifold manufacturing execution system software will facilitate tracking of production data as manufacturing activity is in progress, reducing reliance on segregated records, spreadsheets and manually compiled reports.
Why AGP Is Implementing Manifold MES System
Pharmaceutical manufacturing requires disciplined execution of processes, accurate control of materials, visibility of equipment, traceability of approvals and complete batch documentation.
For instance, a manufacturing batch may involve dispensing, line clearance, granulation, blending, compression, coating, packaging, and closure. Every activity can be linked to the correct batch, product, material, equipment, operator and manufacturing area.
Manifold MES Manufacturing Execution System will deliver a managed digital execution layer between production planning and shop-floor operations for AGP. The MES system will assist teams to monitor:
- Batch and work order status
- Materials allocated, issued and used
- Use of equipment and resources
- Production steps performed and to be performed
- Real process values
- Quality controls in process
- Electronic signatures and approvals
- Resumptions, restarts, holds:
- Expected vs. Actual Process Time
- Batch closure and final status
This will provide the production and quality teams with earlier visibility into the progress of manufacturing.
In addition, this will allow them to identify delays or incomplete activities while production is ongoing.
Template-Based Manufacturing with MES System
At the heart of the implementation will be Manifold MES system’s customizable manufacturing templates.
AGP will be able to define approved manufacturing stages, unit operations, step-level instructions, material requirements, assigned equipment, expected process times and quality checkpoints.
These templates could be used on relevant products and batches, to allow for more consistent execution.
Operators are guided through each step of production and have the ability to capture actual process values from integrated data sources where applicable.
Furthermore, teams can assign and verify batch materials, track dispensing and consumption, and adjust quantities according to approved requirements. The system records each activity digitally.
Lastly, authorized users can review batch details, actual yield, completion dates, and production comments before closing the batch.
Enhanced Traceability and Electronic Records
Manifold manufacturing execution system software will link the manufacturing records with the related materials, equipment, resources, process values, quality checks, users and timestamps.
This batch level traceability will provide AGP with a digital manufacturing history without having to look through multiple disconnected sources.
The platform will also include support for:
- Batch manufacturing records (e-BMR)
- Master Records Production
- Batch record reports
- Status report on manufacturing
- Batch progress updates
- Reports of area-level monitoring
- Periodic review report;
- Time stamped activity and audit trails
Controlled access and electronic signatures will enhance accountability and support controlled electronic recordkeeping.
Connected Operations & Real Time Monitoring
Dashboards will give visibility on batch progress, manufacturing lead time, downtime, production loss, actual yield, equipment availability and open alerts.
In addition, authorized teams can configure email and SMS alerts for selected manufacturing activities and exceptions.
Furthermore, organizations can connect Manifold with ERP systems and manufacturing equipment. This integration improves information flow across planning, materials, production, warehousing, quality, and management.
When required, Manifold can also interface with Spectrum LIMS and QMS.
Therefore, teams can connect laboratory testing, quality events, approvals, and manufacturing execution within one digital environment.
Expected Outcomes
After implementation, Manifold manufacturing execution system software is expected to enable AGP to:
- More consistent use of approved processes
- Better control of materials and consumption
- Earlier batch status visibility and delays
- Greater traceability for materials, batches and equipment
- Enhanced access to electronic manufacturing records
- Improved comparison of standard process times against actual process times
- Increased visibility into downtime, yield and utilization of resources
- Better data for operational decisions
- A scalable basis for digital manufacturing
“The implementation of Manifold MES system is a key step to improve the visibility, control and traceability of our manufacturing operations. By digitizing production execution and connecting critical manufacturing information we want to enable more consistent processes, timely decisions and continuous operational improvement,” said Saeed ur Rehman, Director Technical Operations, AGP Limited.
“AGP’s implementation of Manifold is not just a software deployment. It is the digitization of the way approved manufacturing processes are translated into controlled production activity,” Mahdi Raza, Director at Sofcom, said.
Manifold MES Manufacturing Execution System will give AGP a clearer view of production from batch initiation to closure by linking manufacturing templates, materials, equipment, process values, quality checks and electronic records. “We are excited to partner with AGP as a Manifold customer and support them on their connected manufacturing journey.”
